2009 Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Monday


Arrival: Dubrovnik

You will be met at Croatia's Dubrovnik airport at
and transferred to your accommodation for the night.
There you can unwind and prepare for dinner in one
of nearby restaurants. Overnight in Dubrovnik


Day 2 - Tuesday

Sightseeing Dubrovnik

After breakfast you will walk along the outer wall of
the entire old city, gaze at the Franciscan monastery,
the Rectors Palace and the Cathedral. Explore the tiny
streets and interesting shops. After lunch take a short
boat cruise around the city and surrounding islands.
Overnight in Dubrovnik

  Day 3 - Wednesday

Further explore Dubrovnik and the surrounding towns
and bays.

Day 4 - Thursday

Trip to Mostar

We drive along the Neretva River and enjoy the fabulous
scenery. Arrive in Mostar and absorb the culture as you
you wander around, and are given a guided tour of
the old town in Bosnia Herzegovina.
You will have lunch in a local restaurant, and then on the
way back to the coast we stop to visit Medjugorje ( the
site where Virgin Mary is said to have appeared).Arrive
Pisak in the evening for dinner and relaxation.




Day 5 - Friday

Trip to Omis, Baska Voda and Brela

A short boat ride will take you along the Cetina river.
In the afternoon, a visit to a quaint town of Omis
with it's turquoise  river and the neighbouring
towns of Baska Voda and Brela.
Return to Pisak

Day 6 - Saturday

Trip to Makarska and Biokovo

A short drive to seaside Makarska for a leisurely
stroll through another beautiful town followed by
a trip to the adjacent mountain of Biokovo, a
National park overlooking the picturesque Adriatic
Coast. Return to Pisak

Day 7 - Sunday

Trip to Trogir and Split

After breakfast we are off to a popular medieval town
of Trogir and the nearby island of Ciovo. Like Dubrovnik,
this is a walled city with it's own history. Enjoy lunch
then make our way to the city of Split. The "Old Town",
not long ago, celebrated it's 1700 birthday. Built by the
Roman emperor Diocletian as his retirement villa. Here
you can view some very old architecture and local art.
Return to Pisak

Day 8 - Monday

Cruise to islands of Brac, and Hvar.

Depart from Baska Voda to visit islands of Brac then
Hvar where you will never get tired of the scenery and
the blue waters of the Adriatic.

 
  



Day 9 - Tuesday

Cruise to Hvar

In the morning we cruise to Island of Hvar. There you will visit
a castle overlooking the town of Hvar and surrounding islands.
Have lunch at local restaurant then cruise to adjacent inferno
islands
and enjoy a swim in crystal clear waters. Then it's back
to Split and to our accommodation in Pisak.

Day 10 - Wednesday

Arrival: Plitvice Lakes

We take a drive inland to spend a day and night in the world
heritage listed National Park where you will experience some
of the most spectacular sights you will ever see. With 16 lakes,
countless waterfalls, caves and kilometers of paths, it is guaranteed
you will remember Plitvice for the rest of your lives.
After a day of exploring, you can unwind in the Plitvice
accommodation.

 



Day 11 - Thursday

Departure from Split

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport in
Split for your journey home or to your next destination.





You will spend 3 nights in Dubrovnik, 1 night in Plitvice,
 and 6 Nights in Pisak (below)

 
 


Please note that due to bad weather we may need to
change the sequence of our itinerary or substitute
alternative destinations. Also, remember that there
is flexibility in the tour and you are welcome to take
time off from the program whenever you like.
